Feature Manager Tutorial

This tutorial covers the following topic:

In order to access your WHM, you need to add /whm after your domain name (provided the domain is pointed to your account with us). So, for example, if your site is domain.com, you will be able to access your WHM interface by visiting http://domain.com/whm.

If your domain is not yet pointed to your Cloud account, you can access your WHM by typing the server name and then again adding /whm after it. For example, if you are hosted on c1234.sgvps.net, you will be able to access your WHM at any time by visiting http://c1234.sgvps.net/whm.

When you accept the certificate, you will be redirected to a page with login form where you should fill in your username and password. The username is your cPanel username and the password is your cPanel password.

Once you log in, you will see the WHM Home/Main page:

In the left column are all the options you have for managing your hosting service. They are divided into several sections and there is a Search field for quickly finding the option you need. The names of the sections are pretty much self-explanatory and we will cover the most important ones in our tutorials. The sections you will probably visit the most are Packages and Account Functions. This is where you can create, edit and remove hosting packages and accounts.
● Feature Manager
The Feature Manager allows you to specify what features would be available inside the cPanel of your accounts. You may access it via the Packages section:

This tool allows you to control what features your hosting packages have, which in turn will help you scale your options better and provide more flexible hosting solutions to your clients.

A set of features is called a Feature List. To create a Feature List type a name in the Add Feature List Name field and click on the Add Feature List button:

By default all cPanel features are un-ticked, so let's enable some features such as Addon domains, Advanced Zone Editor, Aliases, etc by checking them:

To save the new feature list, click the Add button at the bottom of the page.

The feature list will be saved as yourcpaneluser_Basic where yourcpaneluser is your actual cPanel reseller account.

From now on the feature list will be available for selection when creating or editing new packages.
