● How to add or create ftp accounts in Plesk?

FTP is used to transfer files from one host to the other over the internet. To create FTP account in the Plesk, follow the steps given below.

Step 1: Login to the Plesk control panel with the username and password.



Step 2: Under Websites & Domains, click on FTP access to create the FTP account.



Step 3: Click Add New FTP Accounts.



Under General, provide FTP account name.

Step 4: Enter the Home directory path for the FTP account. This will be the default home directory.
Step 5: Provide the strong and secured password for the account. Retype the same password in the Confirm password field.
Step 6: You can also give the Read and Write permissions for the user by enabling the required check box.
Step 7: Then click OK.



You will be shown with the alert message for the newly created FTP account as shown in the below image.

● How to delete or remove FTP accounts in Plesk?

To remove the existing ftp account in the plesk control panel, follow the steps given below.

1) Login to the Plesk control panel.
2) Under Websites & Domains, click on FTP access to delete the FTP account.
3) Enable the check box of the respective FTP account and click Remove.



4) Click Yes to remove the FTP account.
5) You are done.
